Sprining early AHHhhhh

Hi everyone: Spring seems to be showing up early this year and I am behind. Makes me feel like my pants are on fire and I am not moving fast enough. LOL Ok lets see… this first blog is just going to be a fast overview of whats happenin here this spring. We had Baby Mini Nubian dairy goats born the last week of February. 12 of them thanks to two mama’s that had triplets. I am part of the management team for the McLoud Farmers Market this year and planning is in full swing for that. I have trays of Tomato’s, cilantro, napa cabbage, Rosemary, Basil, Dill, Spinach, Borage and Onions currently started. Out in the green house I have garlic, swiss chard and some sad beets that I planted in the fall that aren’t very happy. Planning on direct sewing some more beets and carrots this week if all goes well.

My son Jacob has dug a 50’ trench that is waiting for me to plant some asparagas in. I also have flower bulbs for future u-cut flowers that need to go in the ground yesterday.

Currently I have available Free range Eggs (lots and lots), Come and pick some up Please $4.00 doz, Hatching eggs and well for Cream leg bar (blue egg layers) and Sex link eggs (Road Island Red x Bressa) and swiss chard in limited quantities available.

We have 6 great Pyranese dogs here on the farm to keep predation at bay. Sweet Teal has a large abscess that I am trying to heal up.

My wonderful hubby Bill has built several versions of chicken tractors in variouse sizes in the holy grail search for the perfect chicken tractor. That has me left with an over abundance of 6 different sized tractors that need to find new homes. They can house anywhere from 4 to 10 chickens and are light weight enough for a healthy 80 year old to move around.

In order to streamline the farm I also have a couple of roosters that need a new home and a couple of Male ducks that are beating up 1 of my sweet female ducks really bad, so they need to go…

Thanks all for hanging with me to the End of this long post. You all have a beautiful blessed day and let me know if there is anything I can help you with.
